I love Denzel Washington, the actor and the man. You can't help but be inspired.

That is a lovely story. This bit in particular struck me:

"It was a fantastic time," he said, unequivocally. "I no longer had those burdens that I had when I was a child. And when I was in class, I was able to just focus 100% on the lessons being taught, getting the most out of class."

I used to volunteer at a GED tutoring organization. I was so impressed at the focus and dedication of some of the students. You could really tell which ones had decided to turn their lives around and take steps to earn those credentials that they had not had been able to make themselves care about before. Good on you, Dr Allamby!
