A few more unpopular opinions:

• Peter Jackson's King Kong > his Lord of the Rings movies
• As much as I want to love The Irishman, it is way to long and boring to be up there with Goodfellas, Raging Bull, or the other classic Scorsese pictures. Going back to my opening post, the Oscars were 100% right to snub it in favor of Parasite.
• Get Out is Jordan Peele's weakest film and NOPE is his best.
• Leonardo DiCaprio is a good actor, but he is also a major beneficiary of the weak era of movie stars that we are currently living in. Put him in the 70s, 80s, or 90s and he does not stand out as a generational talent.

This King Kong slander is outrageous. Gorillas are incredibly strong and intelligent creatures.

I take your point, but come on.  Godzilla is the KING OF THE MONSTERS.  He's a nuclear mutant.  No one can stand up to a nuclear mutant!!!

I will concede Ghidorah, also a trinity of kings, but I have no idea what "Rowan" is.

Mark you, the Big Green Nuclear Amphibian has had some worthy adversaries---Gabara, Megalon, and Gigan (the most disco kaiju ever)----but all have fallen to His mighty atomic WRATH!!!

"Rowan" is a weird autocorrect of Rodan.

The closer he stayed to the source material, the better the LOTR movies were. In the later movies, as he diverged more, they got much worse. He's a much better director than writer.

Well, Dead Alive was better than either of these and definitely his all time best movie.

Barring extreme circumstances, people shouldn't be allowed to change their names.  It's too annoying for me to keep track of.  You should be stuck with your name, just like you are with your date of birth and social security number.

My brother and SIL gave their daughter a name they made up, so it didn't have an established pronunciation.  They're now on pronunciation number two or three.  When my niece is a little older, I will ask her what she wants to be called.  Whatever she says, I'm calling her that for the rest of her life.

Oh, I'm also not a fan of changing pronouns.  I will learn one set of pronouns per student.  If they later want different pronouns, they should find a different professor.

Bah, humbug.  Also, get off my lawn.

I would say I'm sorry, but nope. I have had many, many people over the years try to impress upon me the 'genius' of that show, it never worked. To each, their own :)
