Cleaning the apartment, like every Saturday. I also started reading a book mesozoic sea reptiles, so that's nice.

Otherwise, nope. Perhaps the hatchling will wish to stomp around the world, or dig in his sandbox. I suppose I'll do some research work while he naps.

Apologies for hijacking this thread for my own selfish ends, but I quickly need to vent.

My daughter was supposed to come home from college for her birthday weekend yesterday, but Halloweekend and attendant Friday thru Tuesday parties won out, so no visit this weekend.

I'm not sure that she realizes how much planning goes into all her birthday hoopla. It's only delayed a weekend, but aargh, now all my other commitments crowd together in a dense window of stress late next week.

Was I this self-centered at her age? Probably, but have repressed it.
