It's been several months since my last post here, but I've gotten most of the book manuscript drafted this year.  Only the intro and afterward remain.  I'll draft those this summer, then hit the revisions in the fall.  My first year at an R1 didn't make we run away in tears, so that's pretty good.

Fifteen, and a bit of reading for T2. Only 25 left to go!
I know it's a genus.

May goals:
  • Make progress on paper #1 with colleagues - it would be great to get this off by the end of the month, but that will be up to my colleagues
  • Make progress on paper #2 with colleagues - this one is sort of in limbo
  • Make progress on paper #3 with colleague - R&R, due in June
  • Make progress on paper #4 with colleague - R&R
  • Make progress on book project #1 - contract in sight, just need to respond to some reviewer comments
  • Make progress on book project #2 with colleague
  • Review and submit proofs for book chapter with colleague

Stretch goals:
  • Apply for a small grant (or two)
  • Get the ball rolling on a new empirical article

Chapter proofs came to my inbox this morning, so I'll need to add those to the list.

Hoping for 10 pages today.

Closer to twenty; more importantly, the document ends a few pages before where I thought it ended, so I'm finally done. Done! For real!

Whew!

500+ words, a good morning.

Need to email my editor to tell her what I'm gonna do about T2. Should follow up with another press about another project, too.

Did those things. Also got a referee request, which I'm accepting. It's #8 so far this year, so this is shaping up to be my heaviest year of refereeing, if I keep going at this rate for the rest of the year.

Finally started working through reviewer comments on book project #1. I think I'll be able to respond by the end of the week, with some luck.

Maybe some T2 reading, or maybe just nothing today.
I know it's a genus.

Meh, basically nothing. No big deal, back at it tomorrow.
