Leaving on a road trip to Dinosaur Provincial Park today, so progress for the next week will be minimal.

Today, though, I will start work on the final edits for the book chapter, and maybe start reading for my last outstanding referee report (phew).

Oh. I forgot to add that I finished the previous report yesterday.

Started background reading for upcoming conference idea I'm pitching.

May Goals

• Submit two referee reports by end of the month
• Put together presentation for local conference
• Submit IRB application for recent conference proposal project
• Start data collection once we receive IRB approval

Happy to report May goals have been met! I did both referee reports yesterday and made my slides for tomorrow's presentation. I also contacted the editor who promised feedback two months ago on the submission from my spouse and I a year ago to see if we are still able to get feedback and make revisions. So far, we have been ghosted. I am also awaiting news of the fellowship decision, probably within the next two weeks or so.

I completed 11 conference proposal reviews today that I forgot to add to my to do list.

• Book #1 (solo) - submit full draft to the publisher (due in December)
• Book #2 - start drafting proposal
• Paper #1 (with colleague A) - submit to journal
• Paper #2 (with colleague A) - draft and present it at conferences in July and September
• Paper #3 (with colleague B) - draft and submit to special issue (due in August)
• Paper #4 (with colleague C) - finish draft and submit to journal
• Paper #5 (with colleagues D and E) - finish draft and submit to journal
• Paper #6 (with colleague F) - draft and submit to special issue (due in June)
• Grant #1 (with colleagues G, H, I) - develop and, if we can all agree, submit proposal

May goals:

• Book #1 - get ball rolling on additional interviews, robustness checks
• Paper #1 - submit to journal
• Paper #2 - make tangible progress
• Paper #3 - make tangible progress
• Paper #4 - prep for journal submission
• Paper #6 - make tangible progress

May stretch goals:

• Paper #4 - submit to journal
• Book #2 - start drafting proposal
• Grant #1 - develop idea and start drafting proposal

So far I've finished up the data analysis for paper #3 (at least for now) and added robustness tests for book #1 (want to get ball rolling on additional interviews asap).

Today I am working on the dataset for paper #2.

Waiting on coauthors for my other projects.

My presentation went well today! I saw some current and former students in attendance (they work full-time in this field and it was for professional development). One came from another campus in the state so I finally met them in person.
