Trivial Irrelevant Aggravations

Taking the subway, especially in my neck of the woods is always an adventure. I didn't bother to check for the "planned service changes", it being a weekday, but no, three of the lines I needed had major construction work going on, with shuttle buses replacing some of the stations for two of those lines. I did get to the doctor's office on time, despite the longer route.

The second longstanding aggravation--not trivial--is the number of people who jump over or crawl under turnstiles. During a 4 minute period when I was waiting for the train, two well-dressed women, in their 30s or 40s, knew how to work the system: one woman crawled under the turnstile and then opened the gate for her companion. The agent, a young woman was sitting in her booth just behind the turnstiles, but couldn't do anything--I've seen this happen at other stations too. Agents who interfere could get stabbed, shot, or even punched, which isn't unusual in the city. Soon after another person crawled under the same turnstile, and then a fourth person did the same, just behind me. It's more than aggravating for most of us who pay our fares and our tolls (that's another story) to see so many people cheat the system with no consequences whatsover.

End of rant

Ok delivery driver, I've had enough.  I downloaded your app and uploaded GPS coordinates to my house, the "what three words," a picture of my house, and written instructions on how to get here. I also indicated to leave the package in the greenhouse (about 10 feet from my front door), and not to deliver to the neighbours.  What do you do?  Claim you can't find the greenhouse, deliver to a neighbour I don't recognise miles away, and then tell me I should drive around to find the package.  Nope. The firm is sending me a replacement. ARGHH.  This happens repeatedly with this delivery company.

For those of us who don't live near a subway and have rarely seen one, "subway" always connotes adventure--maybe in a positive way, maybe not.  Anyway, it's funny how things that are quite mundane to some seem exotic to others.  SPADFY in action!
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control.  And those who belong to Christ have crucified the old nature and its desires.  If we live in the Spirit, let us then walk in the Spirit.

My favorite place in town for pizza has closed. It wasn't delivery, and it wasn't the best, and it wasn't authentic. But it was my favorite.

Our backup/deep storage freezer/fridge died Wednesday.

New one delivered and installed today, but it forced a scheduled clean/reorg of the food porch.TODAY in 85 degrees and humid.  Yucka/

So lose, win, lose - I guess.
Someone is to blame, but it's not me.  Avoiding any responsibility isn't the best thing, it is the only thing.
